Personal Legal Guidance For Your Business, Property Or Aviation Matter
Starting a new business venture in Maryland? Choosing the right business structure and drafting clear and comprehensive contracts and agreements are essential legal building blocks to business success.
We are firm partners (and father and son) Chip and Greg Howard. We help new business owners establish partnerships, limited liability partnerships (LLPs), corporations, and limited liability corporations (LLCs) that bring their business plans to life.
We can assist with all legal filings, contracts and agreements, from attorney general filings, to stockholder and operating agreements, to employment contracts and employee handbooks.
Insightful Navigation For Aviation Law Issues
As an aviation lawyer, Greg defends pilots facing FAA enforcement actions to protect their privilege to fly. Greg is a licensed pilot and a former FAA aviation safety counselor. He is also a panel attorney with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association.
While the FAA is not a prosecuting entity, it has been forced to act as one since the Homeland Security changes after 9/11. Administrative proceedings and enforcement actions come about when regulations have not been adequately followed. Greg evaluates FAA files and negotiates with FAA legal counsel on behalf of his clients to prevent federal licensing suspension proceedings.
Additionally, we represent airplane owners and prospective owners who want to purchase a plane or who are creating a partnership to purchase a plane. In conjunction with our business law practice, we draft partnership agreements, business contracts, and waivers or disclaimers for use with passengers boarding private planes.
Full-Service Real Estate Assistance
We provide a range of real estate services, including closing services for homeowners who are selling their own home without an agent, or FSBO. We prepare and review contracts, resolve title and zoning problems, and attend settlement meetings to ensure paperwork and financing is completed correctly.
If you need to sell your property, transfer your home to a beneficiary as part of an estate plan or take other actions concerning your property to protect the integrity of your estate plan, we offer seasoned support.
In the area of commercial real estate, we work with companies on the purchase and sale of business property. We can also offer experienced guidance on zoning, variance and special exception matters.
